responsibilities
* ap/gl accountant, the majority of responsibilities focus on accounts payable (70%) and 30% on general accounting.
* process payments for foreign suppliers, primarily in the united states and china.
* contact suppliers/internal buyers to resolve errors in partial or duplicate shipments, prices, substitutions, among others, and collaborate with them to resolve discrepancies.
* schedule and process supplier payments in accordance with company policies.
* responsible for monthly closing activities and financial reporting related to the area.
* provide information and reports to external auditors.
* assist with other accounting activities.
requirements
* bilingual in spanish and english.
* bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
* at least two (2) years of experience in a similar position within a manufacturing company.
* experience with erp systems, such as sap, oracle, or netsuite.
* advanced proficiency in microsoft excel, including functions like pivot tables and v-lookups.
