job objective: to manage and oversee the structural development and assembly of prefabricated modules, ensuring effective integration from factory production to on-site implementation.
location: mdi facility, tijuana, mexico. (relocation fees not covered)
this roleis crucial for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-orientedenvironment and is dedicated to driving and achieving strategic goals.
responsibilities:
* serve as the program manager for structural prefabricated modular projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
* coordinate project phases from inception through final integration, maintaining open communication with mdi leadership.
* partner with the domo design and development team to engineer standardized structural modules that enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
* assist in converting structural designs into production-ready drawings with the mdi engineering teams.
* critically evaluate structural building designs for their impact on mdi module fabrication.
* oversee on-site module assembly, ensuring compliance with quality and structural integrity standards.
* manage supply chain logistics and minimize disruptions, accounting for local environmental factors.
* conduct rigorous reviews of final structural elements to ensure compatibility with blueprint specifications.
* oversee the structural supply chain and manage construction costs, employing patented connection systems to enhance efficiency.
* champion sustainable practices and enhance project efficacy.
* collaborate with engineering, construction, and legal teams to maintain project viability and regulatory compliance.
* facilitate engineering and manufacturing change approvals, ensuring alignment with local and state regulations.
requirements:
* degree in civil/structural engineering or a related field.
* 4-6 years in structural design, real estate development, or construction; at least 4 years in project management, ideally in modular or prefabricated environments.
* proficiency in structural design software (autocad/revit), project management tools (smartsheet, microsoft office), and familiarity with building codes (ibc/cbc).
* exemplary leadership and communication skills; adept at budgeting; capable of managing multiple projects under pressure and liaising with external consultants.
* bilingual in english and spanish; eligible to travel to the united states for site assessments and meetings.
