**BRIEF SUMMARY OF ROLE**
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Supply Chain Manager (SCM) will lead a team of 15 non-union associates and currently three direct reports. He/She will lead and develop team members and supervisors for the start-up of a large manufacturing facility of a general company. The SCM is responsible to daily manage/perform procurement, supply and logistics work for materials and finished goods, including Procurement, Demand/Inventory/Production Planning & Control, Warehousing, Distribution & Transportation and International Trade, EHS programs as per company guidelines, lead and champions the continuous improvement efforts within the Supply Chain Department.
**MAIN FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage the Supply Chain department to effectively utilize available resources, Plan and schedule activities and supervise the processes on Procurement, Inventory, Planning, Warehousing and Logistics, and personnel assignments taking care of product quality and safety-first culture.
- Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
- Work with Management Team, to create & maintain an effective, safe, engaged and enjoyable work environment for all employees.
- Drive and perform operational analysis of business processes. Establish, monitor and continually improve safety, production efficiency and quality standards; and cost controls and budget related to supply chain.
- Maintain a continued focus on improving relevant operational KPIs
- including a weekly review with the appropriate team members. Collaborate to determine the root-cause of any failures, and subsequently propose & disseminate improvement plans.
- Proactively champion a function-wide focus on quality inclusive of all departments & teams; establish a focus on role of each & every individual, and sharing accountability as a team.
- Collect and analyze basic statistical data for main KPIs such as: OTIF, Strike Rate, Backlog, Inventory Value, Inventory Accuracy, Cost Savings, A/P days, Adherence to Schedule, NPS & Customer Complaints, EHS Programs etc. Demonstrate a Hands-On attitude to achieve goals and targets.
- Ensure any incidents are reported in line with Company policy - minimize risk by making sure all associates have undergone appropriate training for roles, and tha equipment & procedures are regularly reviewed in line with legal & Company requirements.
- Ensure all warehouse members follow warehouse practices inclusive of, but not exclusive of, Essentra’s ‘Safe Systems of Work’ (SSOW).
- Actively participate in the training & development of all employees to create a multi-skilled team capable of supporting each other in completing all functional tasks. Set goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Set and maintain robust documented processes and working instructions.
- Represent Essentra in a professional & appropriate manner in all situations.
- Complete any other reasonable tasks/projects as requested by the Company.
- Interpret applicable laws regarding employee issues, Environmental, Health and Safety and business practices. Advise/counsel/train subordinates and other employees on legal and compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

- **SKILLS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Advanced or fluent English speaking.
- Proven track record in a similar role, ideally with experience of supply chain & methods associated with the distribution of small components (locally manufactured and imported), high SKU count, high transactional operation.
- Multi-year experience in Supply Chain activities such as Procurement, Demand/Inventory/Production Planning & Control, Warehousing, Distribution & Transportation and International Trade, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Data-driven mindset, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Collaborative, willing to be forward thinking and accept any changes necessary for the progress of the department or Company.
- Take ownership of change actions; ensure everyone is fully engaged, the overall pace of change is set to achieve targets and manage any uncertainty and/or issues that arise during the process.
- Excellent verbal, written skills to communicate appropriately with all levels of the business.
- First class time-management and organization skills to support working in a versatile & fast-paced role.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software (especially Excel tools), and other business systems utilized in a manufacturing & distribution environment beneficial. Knowledge in ERP (Infor LX / BPCS, Microsoft D365),
