Position overviewwe are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven general manager to lead a market-leading business unit within the animal nutrition.this role will be responsible for the overall performance of the operation, with full accountability for p&l, commercial strategy, operational excellence, and people leadership.the business is the absolute leader in its segment, offering a globally recognized product with superior quality and strong profitability.the general manager will play a critical role in driving sustainable growth, strengthening relationships with key customers, and identifying new business opportunities, while ensuring operational excellence across all functions.this role will lead seven direct reports across sales, operations, quality, procurement and others, and will work closely with the regional leadership team | latam to define and execute the strategic roadmap for the business.key responsibilitiesstrategic leadership- define and develop the strategic plan for the business in alignment with the regional leader and global strategy.- drive the execution of the strategy to ensure sustainable growth, profitability, and market leadership.- identify and develop new business opportunities and market expansion initiatives.- strengthen the company's leadership position within its industry segment.commercial & customer leadership- lead the commercial strategy, with a strong focus on sales growth and key account development.- maintain and strengthen relationships with strategic customers and partners.- identify opportunities to expand business with existing clients and develop new markets.- ensure delivery of agreed commercial targets and revenue growth.operational & financial management- own full p&l responsibility, ensuring strong financial performance and profitability.- oversee operations, quality, and procurement to ensure operational efficiency and product excellence.- drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational performance.- ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.leadership & organizational development- lead, develop, and inspire a multifunctional leadership team across sales, operations, quality, procurement and others.- promote a high-performance culture focused on people development, accountability, and collaboration.- lead organizational transformation and change management initiatives.- foster a culture of efficiency, engagement, and continuous improvement.qualifications & experience- bachelor's degree in animal science engineering, chemical engineering, production engineering, food engineering, veterinary, business administration or related fields.- proven experience in senior leadership roles within the animal nutrition, chemical, ingredients, or industrial sectors.- strong background in commercial leadership and strategic customer management.- demonstrated experience managing multifunctional teams and complex business operations.- solid experience with p&l management and business strategy execution.- experience working in international and multicultural environments.- strong ability to lead organizational transformation and change initiatives.languagefluent english & spanish are required.
