tavant technologies is seeking a highly skilled data engineer to join the team. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions that enhance business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in etl processes, informatica, python, and sql, along with a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts. You will be responsible for building and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and supporting analytics and reporting initiatives. The role also requires leadership capabilities in development, unit testing, and code reviews, along with strong communication skills and domain expertise in mortgage or financial services. Key responsibilities
• design and implement etl processes using informatica powercenter or informatica cloud for data integration from multiple sources.
• develop and maintain python scripts for data transformation, automation, and etl processes.
• write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex sql queries for relational databases.
• lead development activities including coding, unit testing, and peer code reviews.
• collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• monitor, maintain, and optimize data workflows to ensure high performance and reliability.
• perform data quality assessments and implement data governance best practices.
• troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues.
• document technical designs, etl mappings, and maintain version-controlled repositories.
• provide ongoing production support and handle data-related inquiries.
required skills & qualifications
• strong experience with informatica (powercenter or iics).
• advanced proficiency in python for data processing and automation.
• expert-level sql skills with query optimization experience.
• solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and etl best practices.
• experience with relational databases such as oracle, sql server, or postgresql.
• knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
• experience in mortgage domain (preferred/required depending on project needs).
• strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• experience in development leadership, unit testing, and conducting code reviews. Preferred qualifications
• experience with cloud platforms such as aws or azure.
• familiarity with agile methodologies and devops practices.
• prior experience in financial services or banking environments.
