This role will focus on assisting with legal support for commercial transactions, reviewing contracts under supervision, and contributing to risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests and enable business continuity, the position will support compliance and regulatory activities, supporting a risk mitigation approach. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, a business-oriented mindset, and adaptability to deliver practical solutions.position objective: the junior layer will support the review, drafting, and administration of commercial and procurement contracts across mexico, honduras, and the united states. Under supervision, the role assists in identifying risks, supporting compliance and regulatory activities, preparing basic reports, and coordinating follow‐ups with the corporate compliance team. The position also helps promote digital contract management and user adoption of clm tools, while collaborating with cross‐functional areas such as sustainability, finance, purchasing, hr, quality, operations, sales, it, ehs, and supply chain to ensure integrated legal and compliance processes.key responsibilities: contract review & negotiation: assist in reviewing commercial contracts, procurement agreements, and service arrangements under supervision to ensure compliance with internal guidelines. Support in validating key contractual terms to help identify potential risks and avoid hidden costs. Collaborate with the corporate legal manager and procurement leaders by providing administrative and legal support to align contract processes with global standards and regional requirements. Risk mitigation & business support: assist in identifying potential contractual risks, such as liability exposure, delivery delays, and compliance gaps, under supervision. Support the legal team in providing practical, business-oriented solutions during negotiations and operational processes. Help monitor compliance with commercial and service agreements to protect company interests. Digital contract management: assist in organizing and maintaining contracts using contract lifecycle management (clm) tools for creation, approval, and storage. Support the implementation of electronic signature processes and help stakeholders understand basic usage. Contribute to promoting digital contract management practices within the organization. Operational excellence: assist in monitoring the timely execution and signature of contracts to help avoid operational delays. Support the regional legal counsel americas in coordinating with external law firms and tracking deliverables for commercial matters. Contribute to initiatives that promote a proactive, risk-aware mindset within business teams through administrative and legal support. Cross-functional collaboration: support collaboration with procurement, sales, finance, and operations teams to help ensure integrated contract compliance. Assist the legal team in responding to basic commercial legal queries and provide administrative support for day-to-day activities. Commercial strategy & continuous improvement: assist the regional legal counsel americas and business teams in supporting contract strategies that align with regional commercial objectives. Help identify recurring contractual issues and provide input for improvements under guidance. Contribute to drafting and updating templates and playbooks for commercial agreements to ensure consistency. Support research on market practices and legal trends to help improve contract structuring and risk mitigation. Qualifications & requirements: law degree from a mexican university (1 year of experience). Interest in learning about general company law requirement. Basic understanding of contract law and willingness to learn risk management practices. Advanced english proficiency (spoken and written). Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic environment.
