*duties will include*:
*contract management*
- draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including but not limited to artist recording, licensing, distribution, and partnership agreements.
- manage contract lifecycles, including options, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
*rights management*
- oversee the administration and exploitation of the company's music catalog, including copyright registration, royalty collection, and licensing.
- stay informed about evolving trends and best practices in music rights management.
*business affairs administration*
- develop and maintain efficient systems for contract management, rights administration, and other business affairs functions.
- implement and utilize relevant technologies to streamline processes.
*profitability analysis*
- identify and implement strategies to improve profitability and maintain healthy margins.
- analyze and monitor the performance of the label and distribution divisions.
*additional duties and skills*:
- full attention to the department's needs, understanding the points being made, and making decisions appropriately.
- analyze performance data and metrics to measure the success of the department.
- effectively resolve client issues or disputes to maintain positive relationships.
*qualifications*
- bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field.
- experience in business affairs or legal roles within the music industry.
- comprehensive knowledge of music industry contracts, copyright law, and licensing practices.
- strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- highly organized and detail-oriented.
