we are looking for a passionate and strategic sr procurement manager to lead a central purchasing services in driving growth and profitability for our americas field organization.
you will be a key member of the field procurement leadership team reporting to the vp procurement americas.
you will provide innovative procurement solutions and foster a high-performing team environment.
*how you will do it*:
- drive continuous improvement: cultivate a growth-minded approach within your team, process automation, standardization and simplification across the multiple activities executed by the americas cps.
- lead with a growth mindset: support business and commercial expansion and growth.
- foster strong relationships: build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, demonstrating high emotional intelligence and effective communication skills.
- lead a high-performing team: develop and coach a staff team of 7 supervisors & team leads plus an extended team of 45 purchasing specialists, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- develop team capabilities: champion continuing education for your team to enhance their effectiveness and career progression.
- develop and support americas procurement strategy: collaborate with category management leadership team to support strategic procurement initiatives.
- drive operational excellence: ensure po transactions compliance with established procurement processes and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
- develop and maintain the team's kpis, always seeking alignment with business needs to provide data that aids in business decision-making
- drive quality excellence: responsible for the quality control strategy in internal audits, creation and implementation of remediation plans, and ensuring their compliance.
- promote sustainability: identify and implement sustainable procurement practices within the global supply chain.
*what we look for*:
- bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or equivalent; an mba is a plus.
- minimum 6-10 years of experience in a multinational organization.
- minimum 6 years of experience in procurement function
- proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- ability to influence others and drive continuous improvement, by identifying opportunities, streamlining processes.
- excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and complex situations.
data skills and software are a plus.
- working knowledge of multiple erps and requisition tools preferred (oracle, saps4, baan, ariba buysmart)
