Airswift is looking for a Well Supervisor to work in a contractor (8 months) position in Mexico City for an oil and gas company.The Well Supervisor is primarily responsible for managing the execution of the well's workover/completion program.
The Well Supervisor is also the company's representative at the well site and is responsible for ensuring that operations are carried out safely, economically, and efficiently.
The Well Supervisor must ensure that the management team maintains a commitment to quality and provides excellent technical support to maximize operational efficiency.Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure that tubing and tool measurements are accurate and that the depth of the tools or fish in the well is always known with certainty.
To this end, the Well Supervisor must maintain an up-to-date diagram of the production tubing, completion string, and/or fish in the well.
Equipment and material counts are also required.The Well Supervisor must personally ensure that all tools entering the well have been properly measured and calibrated.The Well Supervisor must be knowledgeable about the quantity of production tubing, drill pipe, and heavy pipe (drill collars) present on site.When connecting production tubing, heavy tubing, and tools, ensure proper torque is applied.The Well Supervisor must personally ensure that all well logs are valid and clearly recorded.The Well Supervisor must personally ensure that flushing and softening pressures during a tubing run are within the well's tolerance range.The Well Supervisor will directly supervise all well control situations during a gas/oil discharge.The Well Supervisor will decide when to withdraw the bit/milling cutter from the wellbore during drilling, grinding, and cement bypass operations.The Well Supervisor must personally check the condition of all tools outside the wellbore and report any wear or other abnormalities that may indicate a problem.The Well Supervisor must personally verify logging runs and any abnormal tool operation.The Well Supervisor must personally ensure that the cementing operation is carried out according to the pre-established schedule.The Well Supervisor must personally ensure that pressure tests on the head, sealing tools, TR, etc., are performed according to the schedule and within the established standards.The Well Supervisor must verify that the service reports submitted by each of the on-site service companies are accurate with the quantities, equipment, time, and work actually performed.
