The
supply chain manager
role, located on site in agua prieta factory, will be responsible for delivering world class quality, on-time delivery, inventory turns and cost controls. They will do so by managing the purchasing and distribution teams in agua prieta and douglas. The leader will have 3 direct material buyers, 1 indirect buyer, 2 warehouse supervisors and (8?) Indirect warehouse associates.
what you'll do

lead and develop a team of direct and indirect material buyers, ensuring optimal sourcing strategies and supplier performance.

manage two warehouse operations, driving efficiency, inventory accuracy, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

collaborate with the supply chain director to align purchasing and logistics strategies with corporate goals.
·
serve as a key liaison with the local general manager to support site-specific operational needs and priorities.

monitor and improve kpis related to procurement, inventory turnover, warehouse productivity, and supplier performance.

ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials to support production schedules and customer demand.
·
implement and maintain robust inventory control systems and processes across both warehouse teams.
·
drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain operations, leveraging lean principles and data analytics.
·
coordinate cross-functional efforts with manufacturing, planning, finance, and quality to ensure seamless supply chain execution.

support budgeting and forecasting activities related to materials and logistics.

ensure compliance with local, corporate, and international regulations and standards.
·
develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners.

lead risk management efforts to mitigate supply disruptions and ensure business continuity.
