this position reports to:
production engineering manager
your role and responsibilities (mandatory)
in this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Each day, you will mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. You will also showcase your expertise by deploying and leading projects to improve and sustain local business performance.

this role is contributing to the electrification business in juarez, nuevo leon.
you will be mainly accountable for:
* escalating to relevant stakeholders, as necessary, to remove roadblocks that prevent the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives at local level and helping facilitate cases of conflicting priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* ensuring the continuous improvement approach and strategy deployed at local abb unit level is aligned with the global strategy.
* facilitating significant improvements with respect to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and/or cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments in collaboration with local leadership.
* providing training support by developing and maintaining training modules and toolkits aligned with business needs in collaboration with management at local level.
qualifications for the role (mandatory)
* bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, industrial, or related engineering field.
* 4+ years of experience in similar positions related to continuous improvement.
* experience and knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (kaizen, visual factory, standard work).
* capex & opex project management.
* experience leading a 5s audit program.
* experience conducting kaizen events (1 day, 5 days, and up to 3 months).
* ability to develop a value stream flow.
* hoshin kanri implementation experience is a plus.
* green belt certification.
* experience leading work teams / effective communication skills.
* advanced english proficiency.
