Job overviewthe ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.responsibilitiesdevelop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards.identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action.perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings.build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations.provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operations.establish and direct the plant quality policies & procedures.ensure there are no active escalations related to q1/sta, maintain strict compliance with customer requirements, and respond to risks immediately.ensure control plan maturity and robustness, eliminating recurrence and closing gaps identified during korn assessments and customer audits.drive a reduction in cost of poor quality (copq), including scrap, rework, and warranty, through preventive actions and root cause elimination.ensure 100% compliance with the ftq daily management routine, including disciplined follow-up and effective action closure.demonstrate strong leadership in quality management system execution, establishing cadence, operational discipline, and proactive escalation of risks.implement a formal customer follow-up cadence to ensure timely, accurate information delivery and continuous visibility into progress.optimize resource utilization by balancing workload and prioritizing critical tasks, ensuring business continuity.monitor plant quality on an ongoing basis and provide regular updates to senior leadership.monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.develop a strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities, presenting assumptions, and recommending objectives.qualificationsbachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering.8 years of experience as quality manager in automotive industry.experience in metal-mechanics and welding processes.knowledge of iatf & vd6.3.experience managing large teams, 10+ people.advanced level of english.highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

key responsibilities (unilever specific)quality manager leads the team responsible for implementation and enforcement of specifications, standards, and quality management system (qms) for quality assurance and controls in alignment with unilever standards and applicable regulatory requirements.deploys ul quality strategy and goals through site specific projects and targets.provides quality leadership to influence site q culture through activities to create passion for products and brands, visibility for quality, and coaching of site leadership.builds quality and consumer safety skills and knowledge through coaching and training of factory team.ensures quality team has level of required skills and knowledge as appropriate to support site quality programs.builds site quality talent through recruiting, coaching, and training.ensures ul qms is implemented locally to assure consumer safety and overall quality of the final product being manufactured.verifies compliance of site operations to ul qms.enforces fda and health canada requirements as defined by law.point person for internal and external quality audits (ul, brc, iso, fda, hc).
supports savings initiatives by ensuring quality is not sacrificed.drives waste reduction by focusing on quality defects and non-conformances.champions quality pillar management‐wcm with the purpose to increase the operating performance of the company and achieve better competitiveness.ensures complete, accurate and on-time submission of annual quality verification program self‐assessment.develops, implements, and updates site haccp plan and pre‐requisite programs and ensures mitigation of consumer safety risks through haccp validation and ongoing verification.implements pre‐requisite programs required to support site haccp plan including validation and ongoing verification requirements (e.g., pest controls, allergen management, hygienic controls, etc.).
