job description
we seek an experienced sales manager lead to collaborate closely with canonical's global system integrator (gsi) partners across their sales cycles and sales organizations. The primary goal is to facilitate the adoption of ubuntu-based solutions and opportunities, as well as contribute to the development of long-term digital transformation platforms using ubuntu stacks and services.
the role involves:
* establishing strategic relationships with partner representatives at various levels, focusing on fostering strong connections with ubuntu technology.
* gaining a deep understanding of the linux and cloud software ecosystem, as well as open-source selling models.
* negotiating commercial agreements and business terms.
* developing in-depth knowledge of partner organizations and sales models, particularly those of global system integrators.
* collaborating closely with marketing, sales engineering, and product management teams to achieve targets, objectives, and provide a voice for the partner perspective.
* leveraging executive interactions between partners and canonical's leadership team.
* ability to travel frequently, sometimes internationally, up to 40% of the time.
we are looking for an individual with extensive experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles.

* in-depth knowledge of openstack, virtualization, containers, and other cloud technologies.
