Plant controller is a member of the manufacturing team directly responsible for helping the plant to achieve its financial objectives in the manufacturing operation. He/she must be a well-rounded, hands-on financial analyst with a strong desire to develop an understanding of business operations and help identify and push key business drivers. He/she will work directly with plant manager and corporate plant controller. The plant controller must be able to develop strong working relationships with the operating managers and have strong analytical skills.
requirements:
* bs/mba from accredited university preferably in finance or accounting
* minimum of two years of combined relevant work experience post undergraduate; ideal background includes experience as financial analyst of mid-size manufacturing company
* strong financial analysis and project management skills
* bilingual—able to communicate in spanish and english
* knowledge in immex (desirable, no indispensable)
* team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* hands-on person with interest in further developing general management and leadership skills
* able to work at both a strategic and operational level
* entrepreneurial with strong desire to help drive and build a company
responsibilities:
* develop a monthly physical inventory process to ensure timely and accurate inventory counts
* identify opportunities to improve scrap rates on major inventory itemsassist senior management in building a financially conscious manufacturing team
* work with key operating managers to develop and keep good financial controls and discipline within an entrepreneurial business
* identify opportunities for cost savings
* work with i&e to follow up the inventory to be in compliance with the annex 24 regulation
* work with the programmer position and buyer position to develop the report of as400 that allows to monitor the scrap of production department to be following immex regimen requirements.
