logistics representative
primary location: monterrey, actual leon, mexico
duties and responsibilities
* ensure transportation arrangements are made for shipments by the following:
o monitoring customer load board and information flow in the transportation management system
o maintaining any team mailboxes
o performing relationship and knowledge-based exception management to any pre-defined processes
o document and organize existing standard operating processes
o learn multiple job functions within assigned team
o facilitate customer calls and updates, identify when an outgoing call is needed to offer proactive answers
o meet operational metrics
o conduct chr systems trainings to external chr customer representatives
o manage reconciliation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
o make fact-based suggestions on how customers can achieve their goals in utilizing chr by understanding chr's value proposition
o act as a resource and support for peers when needed
o understand and utilize chr's project-based delivery model to find process improvements and cost savings within area of responsibility and/or team
* other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
qualifications
* required:
o high school diploma and/or ged
o minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain, transportation, and/or logistics
o minimum 1 year of prior experience working with and troubleshooting information systems
o ability to work flexible schedule on occasion, including overtime hours when requested
o ability to travel up to 5% (domestic and/or international)
o site specific: fluent in english and the primary language of the applicable region
* preferred:
o bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
o excellent customer service skills
o proficient in microsoft office suite of programs
o ability to present to a variety of audiences
o strong written and verbal communication skills
o ability to think critically, analyze data and solve problems quickly and accurately
o ability to work in a team oriented and fast-paced environment
o ability to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks
o continuous improvement mindset
o ability to adapt to an ambiguous and changing environment
o ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization
