Associate manager, test delivery
the test delivery manager (tdm) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality test outcomes across a specific cgi product line. This role is accountable for overseeing all testing activities within the product line, aligning testing objectives with broader product goals, and leading a cross-functional team of test engineers, sdets, and automation engineers. The tdm is responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement, embracing shift-left testing principles, and driving test automation to increase efficiency and reduce time-to-market. This role also ensures adherence to standardized testing processes and best practices across the team.
* serve as the single point of accountability for all test deliveries within the assigned product line.
* ensure alignment of test activities and strategy with overall product objectives and business goals.
* manage and lead a cross-functional test team, including test engineers, sdets, and automation engineers.
* promote shift-left testing by closely collaborating with the software development team and embedding quality early in the product development cycle.
* hire, retain, develop, and evaluate performance of team members to build a high-performing team.
* coach and mentor team members to foster technical and professional growth.
* practice agile/scrum methodologies to manage team activities, planning, and execution.
* define and track key testing metrics, including traceability, test execution progress, automation coverage, and field defect analysis.
* ensure that organizational testing processes, standards, and best practices are consistently applied by the team.
* drive continuous improvement initiatives and testing best practices across the team.
* identify and implement opportunities for increased test efficiency through automation and process optimization.
* ensure timely and high-quality test deliverables across all projects within the product line.
* responsible for the day to day management of on time, on budget and quality functional project execution for one team

education/certifications:
* bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer engineering, computer science, or physics.
* an advanced degree in directly applicable area of study may substitute for up to two (2) years of job-related experience
* six sigma green belt certification strongly
experience:
* 7+ years of job-related experience.
* experience with shift-left testing strategies and working in devops/ci-cd environments.
* proven experience in defining and implementing test automation strategy.
* experience managing test traceability, defect lifecycle, and field feedback loops.
* experience with basic electronics such as microprocessors, motor control, timers, counters, serial communications, memory devices, radios, etc.
knowledge, skills, and abilities:
* strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and lifecycle (manual and automated).
* deep knowledge of agile/scrum practices and tools (e.g., jira, confluence).
* familiarity with organizational testing frameworks, with a strong focus on process compliance and continuous improvement.
* effective leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
* strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* analytical mindset and system thinking with experience in data-driven decision-making using key quality metrics.
* demonstrated ability to balance quality with delivery timelines in a fast-paced development environment.
* ability to create functional schedules and accurately estimate task completion time. Able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities and accepts responsibility for results of actions.
* ability to collect and analyze data to make timely decisions.
