About the role
we are seeking a highly skilled qa subject matter expert (qa sme) to lead and drive accessibility quality initiatives across multiple scrum teams. This role requires deep expertise in accessibility testing, strategy development, and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure products meet wcag 2.1 aa standards.
as the qa sme, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for accessibility qa efforts, define best practices, mentor team members, and represent accessibility quality in client and internal discussions.
responsibilities
* act as the accessibility qa lead and primary contact across multiple scrum teams.
* define and implement accessibility strategies, evaluate testing tools, and ensure compliance with wcag 2.1 aa standards.
* conduct and deliver internal and external accessibility training sessions.
* guide developers through defect triage, root cause analysis, and remediation.
* participate in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and client meetings.
* collaborate closely with engineering managers, developers, and clients to ensure accessibility best practices are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
* utilize axe devtools, arc toolkit, nvda, color contrast analyzer, and accessibility insights for web for manual and automated testing.
* leverage ai tools and solutions to enhance accessibility testing and automation.
* manage test cases, defects, and traceability using jira and confluence.
requirements
* bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* proven experience as a qa subject matter expert (qa sme) leading accessibility initiatives across multi-scrum environments.
* experience in automotive domain web applications.
* strong understanding of accessibility standards (wcag 2.1 aa) and testing practices.
* experience leading and mentoring qa teams.
* hands-on experience with accessibility tools: axe devtools, arc toolkit, nvda, color contrast analyzer, accessibility insights for web.
* experience using ai tools or automation to support accessibility testing.
* strong communication, leadership, and client management skills.
* proficiency in jira and confluence.
* fluent english (b2–c1).
