️ principal-level architect | industrial & advanced manufacturing |
are you an architect who thrives on complexity — the kind that comes from designing facilities where process, precision, and performance all have to work together?
we're looking for a senior-level architect with deep roots in industrial and manufacturing design and mastery of bim-based delivery to join our team and take ownership of some of the most technically demanding projects in the sector. If you've also worked in life science or pharmaceutical environments, even better — but industrial expertise is what drives this role.
about the role
this is a full-time, senior contributor position within our architecture & design department, reporting to the director of design. You'll lead complex industrial projects end-to-end, mentor a talented team, and serve as a trusted design advisor to key clients.
what you'll do
project leadership
→ lead architectural design from schematic through construction administration on large-scale industrial projects
→ direct multi-discipline teams (engineers, consultants, technical staff) to deliver on time and within budget
→ facilitate programming workshops, site evaluations, and executive client presentations
→ mentor junior and mid-level architects through hands-on project engagement
bim & technology
→ own all bim deliverables in autodesk revit — model accuracy, coordination, and bim execution plan compliance
→ set and enforce project-level bim standards and quality control protocols
→ coordinate federated models with mep and structural teams for clash detection
→ leverage navisworks, bim 360/acc, and dynamo to drive workflow efficiency
industrial facility design
→ apply deep knowledge of process flow, material handling, utility infrastructure, and equipment integration
→ design for heavy industrial, precision assembly, warehousing, distribution, and process manufacturing environments
→ partner with manufacturing process engineers to embed operational requirements into architectural solutions
→ ensure compliance with ibc, osha, nfpa, and local zoning requirements
life sciences (preferred, not required)
→ design gmp-compliant environments: pharma manufacturing, biotech labs, cleanrooms
→ apply regulatory knowledge (fda 21 cfr part 211, eu gmp annex 1, usp guidelines) to facility design
→ collaborate with validation teams on iq/oq/pq documentation and design qualification
→ apply cleanroom classification standards (iso 5-8 / usp 797/800) to spatial planning
client & business development
→ serve as primary point of contact for key accounts and trusted design advisor
→ prepare and present proposals, design narratives, and executive briefings
→ support business development through rfp responses and relationship cultivation
