isp english teacher key responsibilities
* carry out the academic program of writing and speech
* plan and prepare classes
* review, correct, and grade units, notebooks, books, and assignments on a daily basis
* prepare and administer exams
* design and organize assemblies
* record grades
* formally follow up on student progress
* provide academic reinforcement to students who require it
* comply with safeguarding guidelines.
skills, qualifications and experience
* strong command of english language (grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation).
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* classroom management and student engagement strategies.
* lesson planning, curriculum design, and assessment.
* ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and needs.
* patience, creativity, and cultural awareness.
* proficiency in educational technology and digital learning platforms.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in english, education, linguistics, or related field.
* teaching certification or license (e.g., tesol, tefl, celta, or equivalent).
* advanced proficiency in written and spoken english.
* knowledge of safeguarding and child protection standards.
* continuous professional development in teaching methodologies.
experience
* prior teaching experience in primary, secondary, or higher education settings.
* experience preparing students for standardized exams (e.g., toefl, ielts, cambridge).
* designing and delivering lessons for mixed-ability groups.
* providing academic reinforcement and individualized support.
* participation in school activities, assemblies, and extracurricular programs.
* record-keeping, grading, and student progress reporting.
