Responsibilities
* design and implement efficient material flow strategies from raw material intake to finished goods shipment.
* develop detailed process flow diagrams, layouts, and standard operating procedures.
* utilize value stream maps (vsm) and routings to analyze and improve process flows.
* develop and implement part presentation strategies to ensure materials are delivered to workstations in an organized, ergonomic, and efficient manner.
* identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
* establish lead time and takt time targets for key production processes to align output with customer demand and installed capacity.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve throughput.
* implement automation technologies as amrs, agvs, scan tunnels, as/rs.
* work closely with it and engineering teams to integrate automation solutions with existing processes and systems.
* design inventory control strategies to minimize waste and ensure optimal stock levels.
* implement best practices for material storage, movement, and replenishment.
* establish and maintain workstation layouts to maximize workflow efficiency while ensuring ergonomic standards are met.
* collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment placement aligns with optimized flow strategies.
* support new product introduction (npi) processes by defining material.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in material flow design, process engineering, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
* strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma, and process optimization principles.
* proficiency in cad software for layout design (e.g., autocad).
* experience with automation technologies, including amrs, agvs, scan tunnels, and as/rs. (desired).
preferred qualifications
* hands-on experience with oracle erp and warehouse management systems (wms). (desired).
* experience with automation technologies, including amrs, agvs, scan tunnels, and as/rs. (desired).
* expertise in developing part presentation strategies to improve material flow and workstation efficiency.
* strong understanding of lead time, takt time, and their role in production planning and process optimization.
* excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
* familiarity with industry 4.0 technologies and smart and visual factory concepts is a plus.
