Your job
as a manufacturing integration engineer within our transportation solutions business unit (tsbu), you will define and execute the manufacturing strategy for cutting-edge automotive products that enable connected, autonomous, shared, and electric (case) transportation. Partnering with r&d, operations, and supply chain, you will lead process design, risk mitigation, and production launch to ensure technical and financial goals are met.
our team
the manufacturing integration engineering (mie) team is a group of technical project leaders and core contributors embedded in new product development. We drive competitive manufacturing processes, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver robust production solutions across powertrain, body electronics, safety, and infotainment systems.
what you will do
- serve as the cross-functional lead for design-for-manufacturing feasibility, balancing product requirements with operational capabilities
- develop and evaluate manufacturing strategies and process flows to meet program objectives
- create pfmeas and lead risk-reduction activities with key stakeholders
- support equipment and tooling design reviews, including vendor and on-site assessments
- oversee process debug, pilot trials, and execute process qualification and launch plans
who you are (basic qualifications)
- bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience through alternative routes
- proven technical project leadership within a multidisciplinary environment
- skilled in critical thinking and structured problem-solving approaches
- comfortable making data-driven decisions and designing experiments to optimize processes
- demonstrates adaptability and confidence when tackling unknown or challenging situations
what will put you ahead (preferred qualifications)
- 5+ years of hands-on operations or process development experience in a manufacturing facility
- experience analyzing and presenting process metrics to drive continuous improvement
- background in automotive connector manufacturing or related process development
