Responsibilities
* supervise staff assignment distribution, reporting and absences
* monitor staff overtime and schedules
* maintain and ensure safety culture and quality standards
* execute all standard operating procedures (sop), kpi’s, trainings, and all other assignments
* provide leadership and management of the international accounts
* conduct quarterly audits and reviews with all direct reports
* set employee goals, ensuring conformity to company standards and ensuring high standards from their employees and division
* conduct new-hire training for all new employees
* develop the skills and competence of staff through training, coaching and on the job development
* responsible for the operation of the office when the manager is absent
* all other duties as assigned
qualifications
* associates degree related field or equivalent to 7 years in industry
* 5-7 years’ work experience in international freight forwarding industry
* minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory position
* iata certified, dg certification desired
* proficient in microsoft office and internet explorer
* ability to handle conflicts with positive resolution
* strong oral and written communication skills
* ability to work flexible hours and in a high-volume, high-pressure fast work environment
* high standards in quality and service level agreements
