as a seasoned ai scientist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our ai-driven products. You will act as a technical authority, providing leadership and mentorship to multiple teams to enhance our ai capabilities. Your expertise will guide the development of cutting-edge solutions and the creation of robust, scalable tooling that will be leveraged across the entire organization.
you will take ownership of designing, developing, and rigorously testing sophisticated mathematical and machine learning models. Additionally, you will proactively identify opportunities to apply ai and machine learning to solve critical business challenges and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with our strategic goals.

required skills & qualifications

1. master's degree or ph.d. in computer science, operations research, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

2. minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in data science, with a demonstrated track record of leading complex ai or machine learning projects from conception to production.

3. expert-level proficiency in python and extensive experience building and maintaining python packages.
\
4. deep knowledge of mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and a wide range of optimization and machine learning algorithms.

5. strong software engineering fundamentals, including experience with git, ci/cd pipelines, and building robust, scalable software.

6. proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

7. creative and analytical mindset with the ability to translate ambiguous business problems into concrete, actionable solutions.
