Job Title: HR Generalist

Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This role is critical to fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting fair and consistent employee treatment, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted partner to employees and management, focusing heavily on employee relations, workplace investigations, compliance, and HR operations. In addition, this role provides support in recruitment, onboarding, job evaluation, payroll, training, and special projects.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ADP knowledge a plus.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance to employees and managers.
- Conduct thorough and impartial workplace investigations into complaints related to harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.
- Document investigation findings and recommend corrective actions aligned with policies and legal standards.
- Partner with leadership on performance management and corrective action processes.
- Administer HR plans, policies, and procedures for company employees.
- Lead recruitment activities including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employment files and I-9 records.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and internal policies.
- Coordinate employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and events.
- Support and facilitate training sessions (e.g., safety, compliance, harassment prevention).
- Perform other HR-related duties and projects as assigned.
