description
1. evaluate the supplier’s performance to meet customer quality targets.
2. collaborate with suppliers to ensure all required activities are completed and deviations are avoided.
3. review supplier manufacturing processes and identify potential issues.
4. perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and follow-up/validation of corrective actions.
5. monitor production floor activities to track progress and ensure correct implementation of actions.
6. detect and promptly report potential risks.
7. gather information and ensure all documentation is uploaded into the relevant platforms.
8. participate actively in regular meetings to provide status updates to top management and during project reviews.
requirements
1. degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
2. at least 5 years of industry experience with knowledge in production, quality, and manufacturing processes (metal parts, steel).
3. over 4 years as a technical expert in restraint systems (airbags).
4. project management skills.
5. strong knowledge of quality core tools (msa, p-fmea).
6. good understanding of measurement techniques, gd&t, gage r&r.
7. solid knowledge of manufacturing process evaluation and root cause analysis tools (8d, pdca).
8. experience with product/process audits according to international standards (vda, iatf 16949, iso 9001).
9. familiarity with quality processes and tools.
10. certified quality auditor under iso 19011 or vda 6.3 (preferred).
11. experience in handling kpis and reporting.
12. ability to gather technical information, lessons learned, concepts, and customer requirements.
13. knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing).
14. experience with sap (preferred).
15. willingness to travel within mexico.
16. fluent in english.
