Position summary:
under general supervision of a manager, the tech ops engineer performs work assignments as part of an operational team, including end-users, domain experts, application support teams and product managers, responsible for supporting the technical operations of warehouse production systems. Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: system monitoring; proper loading of data into the system; monitoring users for adherence to standard operating procedures; assisting with issue resolution. The successful candidate will also work with end-users, domain experts, support teams and product managers.
primary accountabilities: • technical (100%) develop a sound understanding of data flows and business rules, documenting and maintaining them, and asking questions to clarify how systems work • responsible for the full life cycle support of assigned data systems and processes. • responsible for detection and escalation of data flow issues between systems investigate problems in systems, processes and services, with an understanding of the level of a problem (e.g. strategic, tactical, operational). • contribute to the implementation of remedies and preventative measures. • ability to monitor data files, process flows through to shipping software interfaces • adhere to company architectural and development standards • develop and provide system documentation as needed

required qualifications: bachelors bachelor of science degree in computer science, or a bachelor of arts degree in a related technical field, required • less than 1 year 0-2 years of work experience with computer hardware or software, working in a demanding, high paced environment required • or any equivalent combination of experience and training/certification in software, hardware & technology applications required • understanding of systems analysis and design (hardware, software, policies, procedure and data) • proven abilities and knowledge in performance tuning of database related functions • ability to research, develop and manage systems unsupervised • ability to provide root cause analysis of basic support issues demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface with all levels of employees and management is required • demonstrate good teamwork and provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff members • specific technical skills needed: • sql server ssis • sql statements/queries • sql server reporting services and sql server analysis, a plus • .net technologies, a plus
