The product sales sr supervisor provides leadership and supervisory responsibility for a medium-sized operational/administrative team of support employees. They possess a good understanding of procedures and concepts within their technical/subject area, along with basic knowledge of related areas to understand how they interrelate. They understand how their team and area integrate with others to achieve the objectives of the subfunction or job family. They aim to improve process efficiencies supporting unit objectives. A basic conceptual and practical understanding of applicable policies is required. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to exchange potentially complex or sensitive information. Typically, they handle variable issues with broader business impacts, influencing decisions through advice, counsel, or joint accountability for volume, quality, and timeliness of results. They do not have direct responsibility for financial or resource planning. Their work generally impacts their own team and related work teams. They have full supervisory responsibilities, including performance evaluations, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and directing daily tasks and responsibilities.
responsibilities:
* support the sales team to sell products to existing clients through portfolio analysis, needs assessment, and understanding customer risk profiles.
* disseminate information on industry trends, financial markets, and competition, analyzing this information for meaningful sales engagement.
* develop the training roadmap for relationship managers and ensure successful completion of training certifications on regulatory requirements, knowledge, attitude, skills, and habits.
* ensure customer engagement by organizing meetings and discussing product offerings to increase awareness.
* conduct joint sales drills with relationship managers to facilitate appropriate product sales.
* enhance the knowledge level of branch managers.
* serve as the compliance gatekeeper in the region/branch for adherence to regulatory guidelines.
* monitor for potential sales complaints, cancellations, surrender ratios, lapse rates, and sales complaints.
* identify and highlight potential financial, regulatory, and credit risks to the franchise.
* assess risks appropriately when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding assets by ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, adhering to policies, maintaining ethical conduct, and managing control issues transparently. Supervise activities of others and create accountability for maintaining standards.
qualifications:
* 2-5 years of financial sales experience preferred.
education:
* bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
