about the role:

you will be providing technology services by taking briefs from clients, requiring a consistent and accurate approach to fulfill the brief within agreed timescales. Personal responsibility for time management and completing timesheets is also important.
role mission:
working in partnership with our client, responsible for leading long-term deployment strategy, implementation, and workflow of the digital asset management system.
what you will be doing:
* act as the primary liaison between client and studios regarding naming conventions, campaign storage, assets, new photography, and archiving.
* develop and maintain a metadata entry protocol, working with stakeholders to define metadata and taxonomy guidelines, promoting data consistency.
* assign appropriate metadata for assets to ensure accurate usage rights.
* manage the digital asset system, facilitate uploading, and oversee system upgrades.
* register internal and external users based on permissions.
* facilitate retrieval of catalogued images/shoots.
* process raw images using appropriate software.
* archive assets as necessary.
* maintain accurate procedures and records for the system.
* stay informed of latest dam technology trends and innovations.
* perform other duties as assigned.
* establish periodic data verification reviews to ensure accuracy and support asset search and delivery.
what skills will help you be successful:
dam professionals should understand high-level business needs and how dam can meet them, quantifying:
* cost and time savings
* reductions in risk (rights management)
* support roles like administrator, archivist, analyst, consultant, advisor, coach, or project manager
support dam system and users, organize and upload assets, and have industry expertise in the field.
personality traits:
* willingness to learn about dam, metadata, taxonomy, and digital asset organization
* experience with digital (not just print/physical cataloging)
* project management skills
