Job Description
Development of new
textile reinforcement materials
for ContiTech products, with focus on conveyor belts (worldwide)
Development of
textile based composite technologies (reinforced rubber, plastics)
Definition of technical specifications and requirements
Support serial introduction of new
technical textiles and products thereof, including smpling, lab testing/evaluation, manufacturing, product testing
Provide
Materials science
expertise, drive knowledge sharing, and support in problem-solving
Central R&D contact for ContiTech worldwide
Maintain our technology leadership, drive sustainability & innovation
Identify and implement optimization potentials
Drive activities to improve and standardize procedures as a part of a lean and agile organization
Lead cross-functional projects
Close cooperation with Purchasing, Process Development, Product Development, Testing labs
Qualifications
Academic degree in
Textile Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar qualification
Experience in development of technical textiles (cords, yarns, fabrics)
Experience in development of reinforced rubber or composites materials or plastics.
Knowledge in
textile materials testing methods.
Strong analytical skills - problem solving, decision making, data classification, examination of correlations, etc.
Strong customer-oriented thinking, ownership, and collaboration skills
Sense of urgency in completing projects on time and effectively
Intercultural fluency
Project management experience will be a strong plus
Fluent English (Interviews will be in english)
Fluent Spanish is required
