Job description the functional analyst and developer will work with functional area leaders and/or subject-matter experts (smes) to understand business requirements across all process areas and translate these requirements into functional and technical specifications. Additionally, as a developer, they must possess the technical skills necessary to perform development activities using the progress / 4gl toolset.
as a functional analyst, they must have extensive knowledge of the qad mpro / jde 9.2 erp system.

duties and responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)

1. analyzes business issues, enterprise-wide requirements and their impact across functional areas.
* provides business solutions and issue resolution through the development of process models, systems design, functional and technical specifications using standard software development and change control management methodologies.
* works with department and executive management, subject-matter experts and the end user community to understand business requirements.
* collaborates with external sources such as software and hardware vendors, consultants and other users of the jde or qad erp software system.
* defines and implements new changes to processing options, creates new versions and maintains menus.
* develops all necessary documentation including process models and training materials.
* determines development resources required working with the manager of applications programming and/or erp director.
* develops schedules and project plans and maintains the plans with regular progress updates to team members.
* lead testing efforts and provides training when necessary. Conducts "train the trainer" sessions where possible.
* reviews infrastructure with it management and technical support to ensure timely execution of technical requirements and helps define operational assignments.
qualificationsrequired qualifications
* bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field
* minimum 5 years of hr business partnership experience, with a focus on organizational effectiveness
* demonstrated thought leadership and continuous learning in process simplification, organization effectiveness and/or hr transformation
* excellent interpersonal, facilitation, coaching, communication and consulting skills.
* self-starter with strong results orientation and success in moving business toward long-term goals
* strategic thinker with the ability to be hands on and drive projects to completion
* proven experience in building strong consultative partnerships with diverse people across multiple functions and locations. Must be a strong team player and collaborator.
preferred qualifications
* bachelor in information technology or related field with experience in business analysis of erp systems in a global enterprise.
* knowledgable in project management procedures and project tools with good communications skills at all levels of the organization.
* working knowledge of the jd edwards or qad erp software modules, package build processes, and other third-party software such as edi, bank driver, e-invoice & accounting regulatory (sat) etc.
* a solid understanding of jde and/or qad tables including defining business-specific data elements required, server hardware, networking, databases, .
* net web-based systems. Some knowledge of hardware is necessary as it relates to printers and other devices interfacing with jde / qad.
* travel may be required at times including internationally.
desirable qualifications
* significant experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment using the jde / qad sales order processing, advanced pricing, product configurator, kitting, forecasting, drp, inventory management, lot control, advanced warehousing, transportation management, purchasing, quality, eam and supplier scheduling.
* additional experience required are in the core financials using the general ledger, advanced cost accounting, accounts receivables, fixed assets, accounts payable, and job costing. Experience with the equipment asset management will also be a benefit.
