this role will play a key part in developing, validating and releasing electronic control products and supporting applications on hussmann products and new technology developments. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to capture functional requirements and design documents for electronic controls and supported pc based applications.
responsibilities:
* work with product engineering, marketing, manufacturing and quality to ensure effective collaboration on electronic control projects
* coordinate with suppliers and development partners to improve existing electronic designs for cost, quality and/or functional improvements
* specify and review system level design and assemblies including components such as embedded pcs, plcs, displays, wiring harnesses, power supplies etc.
* analyze and review design of application specific electronics including 3rd party components for system compatibility and regulatory compliance
* perform application functional validations, component testing, analysis, and any design modifications/improvements
* support the development of instructions, user manuals, technical notes, troubleshooting and testing documents for inclusion in product documentation
* leverage internal and external technical experts to develop innovative ideas, match new technologies to market needs and opportunities resulting in sustainable competitive advantage in core and adjacent markets
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics engineering or equivalent
* 1-2 years hands-on experience with electronics development and/or electronics related application development/validation
* advanced english skills
* experience with software operation in electronic equipment controls incorporating both application level and component level analysis
* experience with development/validation tool sets and associated instrumentation for electronic components
* knowledge and experience in developing application software for programmable platforms, plcs and/or embedded systems using basic programming languages, ladder logic programming, structured texts, function blocks etc.
