Job objective:
the cost analyst is responsible for examining the company’s operating costs to identify savings opportunities, improve financial efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
main responsibilities:
-collect and analyze financial data related to materials, labor, overhead, and other operating costs.
-perform variance analysis between budgeted and actual costs.
-develop cost models and maintain updated databases.
-identify opportunities for cost reduction and profitability improvement.
-collaborate with departments such as production, purchasing, and finance to interpret cost data.
-support financial planning and budgeting processes.
-conduct internal audits to ensure cost accuracy.
-prepare periodic reports and present findings to management.
requirements:
-bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related fields.
-bilingual
-previous experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or similar roles.
-proficiency in excel and financial software (erp, sap, etc.).
-strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
-ability to communicate financial findings clearly and effectively.
work environment and structure:
primarily office-based work, with occasional visits to plant or field locations.
reports to the finance manager or finance director.
may require occasional travel for project evaluations.
