Job summary
the maintenance operations director is responsible for overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of 75 to 85 stores, regional offices, and hubs. This includes planning, executing, and supervising day-to-day operations of the maintenance department team, ensuring store operations and equipment functionality.
key responsibilities:
* planning and execution of preventive maintenance programs: develop and implement effective preventive maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
* ticket resolution and supplier management: collaborate with suppliers and technicians to resolve maintenance tickets efficiently, meeting customer expectations and ensuring timely completion.
* maintenance team supervision: provide guidance, support, and feedback to maintenance technicians and suppliers to enhance their skills and performance.
* team recruitment and training: identify, recruit, and train skilled maintenance professionals to maintain a high-performing team.
* annual budget administration and kpis monitoring: oversee the annual maintenance budget, analyze supplier quotations, and monitor key performance indicators (kpis) to measure energy savings and maintenance program effectiveness.
* project coordination and execution: plan, execute, and coordinate major capex projects, equipment renewal, and store resets to meet business objectives.
* store floor cleaning program: develop and implement an annual store floor cleaning program, including waxing and shining, to maintain a clean and safe store environment.
* new store inspections and maintenance program: conduct thorough inspections of new stores from construction to ensure they meet maintenance standards and implement the annual maintenance program for firefighting equipment.
