Overview
field specialist - control and instrumentation for gas turbines, compressors, and turbines. Join our field services team to provide technical direction and safe site leadership for onsite installation, maintenance, testing, and startup activities on gas turbine, steam turbine, compressors, and generators controls and instrumentation systems in accordance with engineering best practice and contractual scope requirements, primarily within latin american countries.
responsibilities
* under minimal supervision, follow established tasks according to the maintenance or installation activities schedule on customer equipment in the field.
* collaborate with other crew members on installation and/or maintenance activities at customer sites.
* execute tasks following site quality check lists for the agreed scope of work. Interact with customer representatives and site team on routine field matters such as coordination meetings.
* provide required records of all activities at customer site to the iet supervisor and maintain good team relations.
* perform responsibilities safely and as instructed by direct supervisors and in accordance with iet service processes and procedures.
* perform other related duties as required. Conduct all business activities in accordance with baker hughes core values (hse, quality, and compliance).
qualifications and skills
* bachelor’s degree preferred.
* 4 years of industry experience and iet product line training required.
* knowledge of control systems such as mark vie, woodward/micronet, opticom, and bently nevada.
* knowledge of products such as aero lm2500 and lm6000, heavy duty gas turbines, and centrifugal compressors.
* knowledge in mapping/tuning for turbines is a plus.
* intermediate to advanced english level.
* utilization around 85%. Able to travel locally and internationally.
* able to work offshore.
* tbosiet/thuet certificates are a plus.
* demonstrates functional/technical, customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
* specialized in instrumentation and control panels.
