Overview
the service engineer is responsible for working within the field services team, and closely with the project execution team to ensure services are executed in accordance with standards, performance obligations, and delivery commitments. The service engineer will oversee the commissioning, testing, and maintenance of power transformers and work with the transformer business and sales teams to develop solutions for customers.
responsibilities
* understand and execute electrical and/or mechanical plans to perform the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of transformers.
* supervise subcontracted personnel to ensure assembly of transformers according to plans.
* ensure the quality of assembly and commissioning in accordance with factory standards.
* prepare weekly technical and administrative reports and service completion reports.
* responsibility for assembly and testing equipment.
* comply with and enforce current protocols, policies, guidelines and competencies of the comprehensive management system (ehs, quality).
what you bring
* education: electrical, mechatronics or electromechanical engineering.
* professional experience: minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position.
* technical knowledge: electrical (high voltage) and mechanical.
* languages: intermediate english.
* availability to travel: for long stays (up to 4 months) nationally and internationally.
* skills / competencies: communication, teamwork, leadership, flexible working hours.
