your role and responsibilities
the associate partner will be responsible for developing and expanding strategic client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to c-level executives and leading complex business transformation opportunities enabled by technology.
key responsibilities include:
build and maintain strong relationships with c-level executives (cio, cfo, chro, and others), positioning ibm consulting as a long-term strategic partner.
identify, qualify, and develop transformation opportunities (hunter and farmer mindset), from pain identification through deal closure and account expansion.
own the full consulting sales lifecycle:
signings: direct accountability for pipeline development and deal closure.
revenue: achievement of annual revenue targets.
gross profit: ensure healthy margins and strong financial discipline across deals.
act as an internal orchestrator, coordinating multiple service lines (strategy, technology, data & ai, sap, oracle, cloud, etc.) while minimizing early-stage dependency on them.
demonstrate a strong delivery mindset, ensuring that sold solutions are executable and generate tangible client value.
lead executive-level discussions on digital transformation, operating models, process optimization, and technology-enabled change.
represent ibm consulting as a trusted advisor focused on long-term relationships rather than transactional sales.
required technical and professional expertise

10+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, or business transformation projects, ideally within leading consulting firms.
background in technology or engineering (not necessarily a pure technology degree, but strong solution and architecture understanding).
proven client-facing experience, engaging directly with c-level executives.
proven track record of leading large-scale digital and business transformations within the supply chain, retail, or consumer goods sectors.
expertise in integrating technology solutions, optimizing business processes, and managing organizational change is essential.
ability to learn quickly and operate in a self-sufficient manner during initial client meetings.
previous experience in project delivery for technology or consulting engagements, with subsequent evolution into commercial or account leadership roles.
strong capability to coordinate cross-functional teams and multiple service lines.
willingness to travel.
native spanish and advanced english proficiency.
preferred technical and professional experience
preferred candidate profile:
strong consulting mindset, capable of identifying business problems and designing solutions using ibm services, technology, and partner ecosystems.
experience in services and consulting sales, not product-centric or transactional software selling.
balanced hunter and farmer profile: able to open new opportunities and expand existing client relationships.
experience or strong relationships within the cpg industry is a plus.
background in consulting firms such as deloitte, accenture, pwc, neoris, or similar, ideally at a level just below band 10 and ready for the next career step.
enterprise transformation platforms and ecosystems, including:
sap, oracle
cloud hyperscalers: aws, google cloud, microsoft azure
data, analytics, ai & generative ai
strong ability to translate technology capabilities into business value rather than focusing on technical depth alone.
