Role summary
the sales manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with major retailers (e.g., the home depot, lowe's), local electronics chains (e.g., steren), top-tier security distributors, and large-scale real estate developers. The primary goal is to increase ezviz's market share in the smart lock category and drive sustainable sales growth.
key responsibilities
* channel development & management: negotiate entry, product selection, and daily operations for mexico's mainstream diy/retail channels (the home depot, amazon mx, mercado libre). Manage local security distributors, hardware wholesalers (ferreterías), and system integrators.
* key account (ka) management: pitch and manage projects with large real estate developers and property management companies (focusing on airbnb and long-term rental apartment projects) to promote pre-installed smart lock solutions.
* market insight & product localization: research mexican door lock standards (e.g., ansi vs. other regional standards) and coordinate with hq r&d for product localization. Monitor competitors (yale, schlage, steren) regarding pricing and marketing strategies.
* brand & marketing support: lead the planning and execution of local trade shows (e.g., expo ferretera) and channel promotions. Establish and manage local installation and after-sales service networks.
* sales performance: develop and execute annual/quarterly sales plans. Manage payment collections, inventory forecasting, and ensure a healthy supply chain.
qualifications
* professional experience: 5+ years of overseas sales experience, with at least 3 years specifically in the mexican market.
* industry background: strong background in smart home, building materials, security products, or hardware/consumer electronics. Experience with competitors such as yale, schlage, or tuya-based brands is highly preferred.
* mandatory network (hard requirement): existing relationships or deep experience with the home depot or major mexican security distributors/hardware channels.
* technical knowledge: ability to understand technical parameters of door locks (e.g., backset, door thickness, mortise specifications, etc.).
* language skills: business-level spanish is mandatory. Proficiency in english or chinese is required for effective communication with hq.
* competencies: strong negotiation skills, ability to work under pressure, and independent problem-solving capabilities.
