To plan, organize, direct, and control all operations within the service area of the station, which may include associated gsps, in a manner that provides maximum service to customers, ensures on-time departures of all aircraft, and maintains a highly productive and cost-effective station operation.
responsibilities include selecting, training, developing, and motivating hourly and managerial personnel. Controls and utilizes manpower through planning, organizing, and scheduling to maximize productivity within capital and operating expense budgets. Monitors daily station performance reports and utilizes various reports and records such as cosmos, famis, delivery records, courier manifests, time cards, billing documents, cash sales recaps, datacomm messages, and petty cash reports to ensure operational efficiency. Coordinates with cartage agents and provides personnel with information regarding benefits, wages, salaries, and policies, ensuring their consistent application. Supports the corporate image through proper signage and uniforms. Engages with the local sales organization and top accounts to support sales efforts. Coordinates station operations with other departments such as system control, hub, vehicle and ground administration, and aircraft maintenance. Manages trucking procedures during emergencies or adverse conditions and provides contingencies for equipment failures. Ensures compliance with fedex, government policies, procedures, regulations, and leases. Maintains security for fedex and customer properties and supervises subordinate personnel according to corporate policies.
qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent and five (5) years of related business experience, including at least two (2) years in station operations and one (1) year in management. Knowledge of fedex field operations, services, systems, policies, and procedures, along with technical proficiency in ground interface operations, is required. Strong management, human relations, and communication skills are essential. Fluency in english and the local language is required.
