Operational excellence coordinator job description
the operational excellence coordinator is a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
key responsibilities:
* develop lean programs: design and implement lean programs aimed at fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all departments within the organization.
* support operational excellence leaders: assist operational excellence leaders in executing high-impact lean events, including value stream mapping, 5s, standard work, and other lean tools and techniques.
* robust kaizen ideation program: enhance and manage the kaizen ideation program to ensure a steady flow of improvement ideas from employees at all levels.
* establish the foundations for a high-performance team program: facilitate the establishment of continuous improvement and high-performance teams, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
* provide lean trainings: develop and deliver lean training programs for the direct workforce, including frontline employees, supervisors, and technicians, to build their understanding of lean principles and methodologies.
* support the establishment of a lean competency program: collaborate with the operational excellence leaders and other key stakeholders to develop a lean competency program aimed at enhancing the organization's capability in lean methodologies.
* operational excellence data analytics and management of 5s audit program: to design, create and manage a robust data analytics visor for all operational excellence programs to strategically trigger new programs to enhance continuous improvement and ensure business results.
qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.
* minimum of 5 years of experience in operational excellence, lean manufacturing, or related fields.
* clear understanding of lean principles and methodologies such as 5s, kaizen, standard work and other lean methods.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and coach employees at all levels of the organization.
* strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
