Key responsibilities
1.general accounting:
oversee financial accounting, ensuring that all company transactions are recorded correctly according to generally accepted accounting principles (gaap).
prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as detailed accounting reports to assist with strategic decision-making.
manage external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with tax and accounting regulations.
2.billing and revenue control:
supervise and coordinate the billing process, ensuring invoices are issued correctly and in compliance with legal and commercial requirements.
monitor cash flow and ensure that all revenues are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
3.payroll and social security:
manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculations and the correct application of tax deductions and employee benefits.
supervise social security contributions, infonavit, and other legal obligations through the sua system.
administer employee enrollments and terminations with imss through idse, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulations.
4.taxes:
ensure the company's tax obligations (isr, vat, etc.) are met by preparing and submitting tax returns on time.
reconcile taxes and ensure timely payments to avoid penalties or fines.
stay up-to-date on changes in tax legislation that may impact the company.
5.budgeting and financial control:
develop and manage the annual budget, controlling expenses and aligning them with the company's financial objectives.
prepare financial analysis to assist in strategic decision-making, identifying opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization.
qualifications:
1. Educational background:
bachelor's degree in accounting, with advanced degree and cpa or equivalent certification is preferred.
2.experience:
minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role, and multinational experience is preferred.
proven experience in managing payroll, taxes, budgets, and systems such as sua and idse.
experience supervising and managing teams, preferably in offices with more than 30 employees.
3.knowledge and skills:
in-depth knowledge of mexican tax legislation (isr, vat, imss, infonavit, etc.).
expertise in accounting, auditing, and financial analysis.
advanced proficiency in excel and accounting software (preferably sap, contpaqi, or similar).
proficiency in sua (sistema único de autodeterminación) and idse (sistema de declaración de salarios y establecimientos).
knowledge and application of tax laws related to electronic invoicing.
advanced proficiency in english (both oral and written) for interaction with international clients and vendors.
