*eaton is looking for a cost accountant - temporary in nogales.*

*_job summary_*

this position is responsible to perform all the cost accounting for the nogales plant and the overall responsibilities of this position are to have an accurate cost structure and provide the necessary support and analysis for a successful transfers or implementation of new products and making sure all this are aligned to the eaton policies. The cost accountant requires a high level of problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all functional levels. Is also a key role member assisting the plant controller preparing complex analysis and responsible for actively participate in a continuous improvement initiatives looking savings opportunities and improve finance processes.

*_job responsibilities_*
- sales & cogs reconciliation, inventory analysis, material and price variances, production orders variances, productivity analysis, costing products and others;
- cost estimation, analysis and cost models validation for new products;
- annual cost roll up coordinating with engineering and purchasing teams to have an accurate run times and material prices making the proper analysis & reporting. Also calculates the manufacturing burden, material, and tack on rates;
- analysis and reporting of cost of non-conformance;
- perform month end, forecast and profit plant activities related to the function;
- prepare the daily, weekly, monthly reports to top management at plant or division;
- pricing, margin, and transfer prices analysis;
- lead physical inventory & cycle count activities and reporting;
- internal controls review such as policies, procedures related to the role;
- prepared sox reconciliations and assists in any internal or external audit;
- prepare complex financial analysis for management, including analysis of main variances to forecast, profit plan, last year and quarters;
- assist the plant controller with p&l analysis, balance sheet analysis and cost of production statement for reporting, audit and tax purposes.

*qualifications*:
*education level required*:

- bachelor’s degree in accounting or related financial field;
- leadership skills to resolve multiple situations effectively;
- work under the guidelines, policies and process of eaton's philosophy.

*years and area of experience required*:

- 4-5 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.

*technical knowledge*:

- expert level skills with microsoft excel;
- knowledgeable in sap, oracle, encore, dft systems, mfgpro;
- technical skills in accounting, forecasting, cost control and purchasing procedures;
- english (advanced written and oral).

*soft skills*:

- leadership.
- strategic thinking and behavior.

- skill in negotiation and monitoring assigned tasks.
