technology screener - digital product engineering (dpe)role overview the dpe technology screener serves as the primary technical gatekeeper and governance lead for our digital product engineering offshore talent pool.this is a senior-level leadership role focused on ensuring that every architect, lead, and engineer deployed meets our high standards for modern application delivery.the screener will evaluate candidates across varying combinations of backend, frontend, cloud, devops, data, and integration technologies based on role and project requirements.while not expected to be an expert in every technology listed, the screener must demonstrate strong working knowledge across multiple areas and the ability to confidently assess candidate depth, architectural understanding, and real-world experience.you will balance technical vetting (75%) with dpe service line (15%) and solution development (10%).
this role is for a veteran leader who can spot "a-player" talent instantly and ensure offshore delivery teams adhere to world-class engineering rigor.this is not a traditional people management role; it is a technical leadership and governance position where you will serve as the final quality filter for our global engineering talent.what we offer:100% remote position.full-time positionattractive compensation & benefits packagework bonuskey responsibilitiestechnical vetting (75%)expert candidate screening: conduct rigorous technical interviews for dpe roles (architects, tech leads, principal engineers), evaluating deep-tech competency in full-stack, cloud-native, and mobile ecosystems.screen candidates across any combination of the following technologies and concepts (not limited to):backend: java (spring boot), node.js, pythonfrontend: react, angular, vue, typescriptmobile: react native or native technologies (swift/swiftui, kotlin)architectural patterns: microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, restful apis, asynchronous messagingcloud platforms: aws, azure, gcpcloud-native & devops: docker, kubernetes (eks), ci/cd pipelinesmessaging & streaming: kafka, pub/sub, and event-based integration patternsdatabases: relational:sql, pl/sql, postgresql, sqlsever, mysql, oraclenosql: mongodb, dynamodbtesting & quality engineering: unit testing, test-driven development (tdd) concepts, mocking, test coverage, ci-integrated testingusing testing frameworks such as:backend: junit, mockito, pytest, jest (node)frontend: jest, react testing library, karma, jasmineadjust interview depth based on seniority level and role-specific expectations.quality gatekeeping: act as the final technical "thumb up/down" for offshore resource deployment, ensuring project-personnel alignment.screener mentorship: direct and upskill a team of junior offshore screeners, standardizing the evaluation rubrics to ensure consistency in talent quality.dpe service line development (15%)screening standards & process adherencefollow established dpe screening frameworks, interview templates, and scoring, onboard, and govern engineering teams.
.ensure consistency and fairness across candidate evaluations.participate in periodic calibration sessions with senior screeners and architects.continuous improvement & architecture awarenesscontribute to improving screening content related to:microservices design best practicesevent-driven and asynchronous architecturescloud-native application patternsstay current with evolving industry practices and technology trends relevant to digital product engineering.trend analysis: stay ahead of market shifts (e.g., ai-augmented coding, serverless evolution) to ensure our screening criteria remain cutting-edge.solution development & pre-sales support (10%)pre-sales & solution alignmentsupport solution and pre-sales teams by validating candidate capabilities for proposed engagements.assist in assessing role fit for projects involving:distributed systemsmicroservices and event-driven platformscloud-native delivery modelsknowledge assets & acceleratorscontribute to dpe knowledge assets such as:screening guides and role-specific checklistsarchitecture-focused interview question banksbaseline skill expectations for modern digital delivery teamsrequired qualifications & experience5–8+ years of experience in software engineering, full-stack, backend, or frontend development.strong working knowledge of one or more backend technologies (java spring boot, node.js, python).3+ years of mobile development experience with react native or native technologies (swift/swiftui, kotlin/jetpack compose)practical experience with at least one modern frontend framework (react or angular).
hands-on exposure to microservices and event-driven architectures.experience working with cloud platforms (aws, azure, or gcp).
