The Operational Services Department, consisting of Accommodation, Guest Management, Logistics, Transport, and Airport Operations, aims to deliver the most engaging, innovative, and accessible World Cup experience for all athletes, fans, partners, and the community.
Reporting organisationally to the Stadium & Operations Executive Director the Operational Services Director will help serve Operational Services efforts for the FIFA World Cup 2026 that for the first time ever, is hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 venues.
This role will be responsible for all operational aspects of the tournament, ensuring their efficient and successful execution.
Further, this role will oversee Operational Services teams responsible for implementing all aspects of the operational plan and will work in strong coordination with the Miami HQ counterparts.
The main responsibilities of the Operational Services Director for the FIFA World Cup 2026 include:
•Lead and oversee all operational aspects of the FIFA World Cup 2026, ensuring the successful execution of logistics, facilities, security, and related services.
•Develop and implement comprehensive plans for Operational Services to ensure seamless operations throughout the tournament.
•Manage and allocate resources, including budgets, personnel, and equipment, effectively to meet operational requirements within defined financial parameters.
•Collaborate with stakeholders, such as government agencies, local authorities, and FIFA officials, to ensure compliance with regulations, permits, and contractual obligations.
•Foster effective communication and coordination channels with internal teams, contractors, and external service providers to optimize operational efficiency.
•Develop and implement sustainable initiatives and best practices to minimize the environmental impact of the tournament's operations.
•Conduct regular assessments and audits to evaluate operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
•Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the operational services team, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
•Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and briefings on operational activities, outcomes, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.

Your Profile
Our requirements:
•Minimum of ~8 years of work experience in sports events/sports facilities management
•Ability to monitor organizational performance and implement corrective actions.
•Knowledge of event management processes and an understanding of world event broadcasting requirements
•Good communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
•Flexible when faced with ambiguity or constant change.
•Ability to lead, manage, and motivate teams
