The role
we are looking for a business analyst with 4-8 years’ experience, who will work as part of the product development team to execute tasks which can affect more than one office, department, or client. In addition to helping in process improvements, the ba will be working primarily on analysis in the areas of the gms practice to determine its objectives and how it operates within the information technology framework. The suitable candidate will need to build their knowledge to integrate across the diverse functional processes and accountabilities of the gms technology tools with a focus of working on the gms application.
Responsibilities & deliverables

analysing the new requirements from our clients and translating into functional specifications for the product developers
reviewing the acceptance tests associated with the acceptance criteria - evolving the details of the user stories through conversations with the developers.
Functional review and testing of the product after each iteration
attending iteration retrospectives to provide feedback and improve the development process.
Becomes very familiar with the products and applications comprising the assigned line of business’ technology landscape.
Provides configuration application to support business requirements and design (including mock‑ups), assists in developing test plans, creation and maintenance of configuration documentation, operational procedures, and guidelines, identifying and documenting issues, recommending resolutions.
Collaborates with team members to create detailed functional and/or technical specifications.
Uses development specifications to establish traceability from requirements to test cases.
Ensures customer satisfaction through promptness in responding to calls, emails for assistance, queries.
Establishes effective working relationships within the project team.
Timely and effectively communication within project to manage risk and escalations.
He/she is also a business professional who fully understands both business and information technology.
Other duties and projects as assigned.

Essential skills

bachelor or master’s degree in maths, computer science or i.t. Related degree
minimum 4 years of ba systems analysis or relevant experience
strong organizational skills, autonomous, self‑motivated, curious, and open‑minded.
Experience with agile scrum development methodology and corresponding concepts related to user stories, acceptance criteria.
Technical, analytical, and development skills including the ability to provide solutions to a variety of business problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Ability to translate business requirements to functional specifications.
Ability to work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and ability to think ‘out of the box’ for process improvements.
Ability to execute test plans and test scripts for software applications, document expected results vs. actual results, and record software defects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
English (fluent written and oral) and ability to work in an international environment.
Assertiveness and abilities to clearly express themselves.
Analytical skills and experience
product support and troubleshooting
project management abilities to focus on project deliverables.

programming in ms technologies (c#. Asp, .net etc.)
Knowledge of sql and scripting
knowledge of computer systems architecture
advanced skills in the microsoft suite of tools – excel. Good working knowledge of word, powerpoint, access etc.
Data analysis - able to collect and analyse data to identify and detect problems and key issues.
Judgment and problem‑solving - able to define decision criteria and determine the most appropriate course of action.
Planning and organizational skills - able to establish objectives and schedule tasks and resources efficiently.
Communication skills - strong written communication skills to provide concise and clear documentation.
Attention to detail and quality orientation - able to accurately check processes and outputs.
