About the position
* ensure procurement of missing parts and control stock to avoid overstock.
* maintain and monitor supplier performance.
* communicate effectively with suppliers (english fluent).
* perform strategic sourcing activities for interconnection suppliers.
* negotiate quotes and pricing for new product introductions.
* keep the mrp system updated.
responsibilities and activities
* get goods and services on time.
* prepare book orders and send them to suppliers.
* issue purchase orders and maintain traceability of material until receipt in the warehouse.
* establish strategic relationships with key suppliers aligned to the company's needs.
* work with suppliers to ensure key processes run efficiently and cost‑effectively.
* build strong working relationships internally and with key suppliers.
* create recovery plans with suppliers when necessary.
* collaborate closely with operations to set up and track procurement of raw materials, equipment, consumables, chemicals, tools, etc.
* manage an evaluation process to assess supplier capabilities, delivery performance, productivity, and quality.
* identify suppliers for new products.
* negotiate quotes and pricing.
* coordinate recovery plans with suppliers.
requirements
* university level education.
* managerial, verbal, and written communication skills.
* meticulous, motivated, organized, and good relationship skills.
* confidence with excel.
* high reactivity and willingness to solve problems (finding solutions).
* flexibility regarding working shifts (early, day, and late shift).
* ability to analyze and explain problems clearly.
* knowledge of procurement, sourcing strategy, and purchasing activities.
* knowledge of logistics, mrp processes, and rules.
* knowledge of sap or other erp for supply chain (mm modules).
* knowledge of english or french language.
* availability to travel.
