Position Title: Account Analyst – Business DevelopmentReports to: Director of SalesWe have an exciting opportunity for a problem solver, a game-changer who desires working in a team environment to develop and launch profitable new business.
TheAccount Analystis critical in contributing to win new business, giving support to the commercial team by developing financial business plans which assess EBITDA, gross margin, and NPV payback.In the launch phase of new programs, key responsibilities include continued growth of program margin and management of working capital through timely cash collection of all A/R including tooling and engineering recoveries.
This position will also support the forecast process by working with cross functional groups to accurately capture sales revenue, sales opportunities, engineering costs, launch costs, capital requirements, tooling, and resource requirements.
A successful candidate will be aggressive, competitive, and objective driven.ResponsibilitiesProvide financial acumen during the pre-launch & launch process to ensure that all financial metrics from the business plan are met, keeping control over project spending and providing feedback.
These include, but are not limited:Optimized bill of material, manufacturing process cost, capital investment, tooling cost/recovery, engineering cost/recovery, and plant startup expensesDevelop Cost Break Downs to support commercial team utilizing customer quote forms and processesMonthly report on the launch profitability and key finance metrics (investment spend/recovery)Manage launch finance milestones using Finance Sign Off and Gate review checkpointsSupport the development of Capital Authorization Requests for program capitalTrack all tool spend and recovery of tooling funds from customerSupport on material economic activities such as:IndexPeso contentTariffsOthersRe-quote engineering changes for customers during the launch process for productionQuote service partsManage contract accuracy and pricing in PLEXAssist with management of account receivables - working with internal teams and the customer to invoice and resolve outstanding payment issuesGain understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes, their related costs and help develop competitive pricing strategies for themSupport strategic and integration teams with financial analysis as requiredBe the portal customer champion as applicableRelentlessly pursue opportunities for partnerships with customers, suppliers, community and the Motus teamEffectively communicate impact of changes to plant and program managementProvide key inputs to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecast processes working with corporate finance team along with plant and launch teamsRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related3+ years applicable experience, automotive experience desired3+ years of experience in financial or project management in a manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of operating systems (Plex or similar) and processes (order to cash, billing and accounts receivable) are a plusOutstanding customer communication skills (written and verbal) are essential for success in this positionAbility to travelPreferred experience with Ford, GM, Stellantis, Japanese, German and American T1 companiesEnglish skills to have communication with customers (written and verbal) to keep video conferences and face to face meetings
