*international business team jr relationship manager/associate*

*role porpuse*:
international subsidiary banking ("isb") provides banking coverage to the subsidiaries of commercial banking (cmb) clients within the corporate segment.
the isb strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the hsbc network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our clients.
the isb business is a significant contributor of revenue to cmb and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 50 countries managing over 35,000 subsidiary client relationships.
the isb team in méxico is acutely focused on client acquisition, delivering sustainable solutions, and maintaining the highest level of global standards.
the international business team relationship manager role consist on developing current and new business relationships within the isb portfolio.
building relationships by identifying product and service opportunities, carrying out customer research, basic financial and credit analysis, support customers on day-to-day activities including client planning.
*principal activities*:

- manage a cdmx isb portfolio of new and developing customers to provide them local banking solutions according with its parental guidance; products such as: cash management, payroll, fxspot, basic credit and lending, trade and supply chain solutions, insurance and investments.
- relationships managed by placing customer needs at the forefront of all that the role holder does, setting world class standards.
creates an open dialogue with treasurers and controllers.
proposes solutions and reacts promptly to different requests.
- develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipating customer needs to provide a best in class service to position hsbc as the market leader in this business.
- maintain and develop knowledge and understanding of external factors influencing international business e.g.
economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements.
- ensure timely and accurate maintenance of customer information on different bank systems as required.
strong focus on commercial activity and reporting under crm systems.
- monitor relationship profitability to ensure targeted kpis on returns and efficiencies aligned to cmb strategy
- take timely and proactive corrective action to mitigate potential losses, exercising effective portfolio management and appropriate controls
- collaborating with product partners to identify and match customer needs with business opportunities.
- comply with cdd (customer due diligence) and kyc (know your customer) procedures according to group policy.
- efficient daily collaboration with associate relationship managers and engage in mentoring activities to promote their development.
requirements

requiremets:

- 1 years of experience in supporting or managing commercial relationships (desirable)
- recent graduates with a high profile focused on commercial banking
- proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services
- good level of business skills and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural and regulatory issues
- ability to interact with business customers at treasurers and controllers level.
- excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- excellent time management, planning and organization skills
- excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations
- strong analytical skills
- fundamental credit skills
- proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions
- knowledge of how cmb clients operate (desirable)
- fundamental knowledge of cash management, payroll, fx and derivatives, credit and lending, trade and supply chain solutions, insurance and investments.
- understanding of client planning methodology
- fluent in both written and spoken english
