The manager ensures high equipment availability by overseeing preventative maintenance and adherence to internal processes and procedures.

key job responsibilities
1. lead, support, and mentor the team, ensuring safety, standards, and efficiency.
2. collaborate with the team and network to leverage technical expertise and develop solutions.
3. assist the reliability engineering manager in working with the site safety department and site leadership to implement, record, and audit safety and compliance programs.
4. implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to ensure equipment availability.
5. organize training programs to ensure technical coverage for shifts.
6. manage local projects or support broader projects as assigned.
7. be prepared to work shifts to maintain team connection and oversight.

minimum qualifications
* bachelor’s degree
* 5+ years of practical engineering experience, including supervisory roles
* multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines
* experience with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems
* knowledge of health & safety standards and regulations
* proficient in ms office and cad
* fluent in english and spanish (b2+)
* full knowledge of engineering and facilities equipment within amazon cf, including safety procedures
* experience with plc control systems
* project management experience
* knowledge of cmms programs
* experience with kaizen and continuous improvement processes
