Join our team as a *senior developer,* where you will collaborate with actuarial, it data, and vendor teams to build a high-performance platform supporting actuarial and risk modeling.
*responsibilities*
- lead the design, development, and optimization of core platform components using c++ and python
- collaborate with python and data teams to integrate actuarial models, analytics, and data pipelines
- ensure computational performance, scalability, and reliability across actuarial workloads
- drive technical innovation including gpus, parallelization, and ai-based methods where relevant
- partner with actuary model development to deliver performant model execution and tooling
- support actuary valuation and risk teams with model analytics, workflow automation, and approval processes
- provide technical guidance on backlog items and requirements for it data and supporting teams
- serve as a senior escalation point for critical incidents with tier-3 expertise
- establish and champion engineering standards, testing practices, and performance monitoring
- contribute to platform documentation, run books, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- mentor junior developers and data engineers to raise engineering maturity
- ensure ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and optimizations with mínimal disruption
*requirements*:
- expert c++ skills (c++22 and later) with 3+ years professional experience
- strong knowledge of actuarial, risk, or financial modeling systems
- experience in building and maintaining data-intensive, high-performance computational platforms
- proficiency in python and multi-language development environments
- deep understanding of data management and integration in hybrid cloud ecosystems such as aws and azure
- hands-on experience with parallelization, gpu programming, and performance optimization
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with actuarial stakeholders
- strong leadership skills including mentoring and guiding technical direction
- bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields
- experience working with actuarial teams or within life and annuity insurance domains
- proven track record in data-driven platforms and large-scale computation
- ability to work effectively in english at b2+ level

- experience with ai and machine learning integration in computational systems
- familiarity with cloud data services like redshift
