general summary
lead an operative work team in an industrial working environment, supervise all activities that meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards, done efficiently, and comply with the established procedures of cooper standard bto procedures and operating systems like iatf or iso.
essential duties and responsibilities
* ensure that all associates have the support of the security team and follow established security procedures.
* conduct daily supervisory walkthroughs to check for potential insecure conditions in your area.
* review daily the number of personnel to ensure they are certified in the polyvalence matrix.
* update the payroll system daily, review staff attendance, and check overtime, extra hours, absences, vacation, permissions, and disabilities.
* perform the daily start-up meeting according to the established routine.
* supervise and ensure that the quality of production meets the established standards according to customer requirements. Have the authority to stop processes that risk product quality.
* conduct quality and safety audits as per the system schedule.
* manage the certification process of direct operators based on training and multifunctional capabilities requirements.
* supervise the execution of the spc system, document data, and analyze it.
* verify spc certification for direct floor associates.
* explain to operators how to fill out required formats.
* ensure compliance with quality and efficiency standards in your area, supervising correct registration of evaluations and process documentation.
* manage the distribution of human resources and materials to meet requirements and delivery times.
* supervise the execution of the production program to meet productivity and bts goals.
* participate in safety brigades as a mandatory task.
* supervise material provision to ensure proper handling of components.
* participate in training for production processes and equipment operation.
* be trained on each working station in your production area.
* ensure correct production reporting to sap to avoid issues like cogis or hanging hu´s.
* evaluate staff development and participate in identifying training needs.
* hold meetings with low-level staff to address security or other issues affecting your area and plan solutions.
* be responsible for achieving 6’s goals in your area.
* maintain scrap reduction goals and activities.
* request staff movements at least 48 hours in advance, with changes implemented on the following monday or start of the week.
* participate in kaizen activities and cost-saving projects.
* follow responsibilities and authority as per ftm-ehs-12 roles, responsibility, and authority matrix from iso 14001/45001.
* comply with policies and procedures related to facility and divisional standards such as iatf 16949.
